To support its unique approach Argenius has developed a sophisticated software application for design and optimization capable to capture and simulate the dynamic complexity of supply and manufacturing networks.
Through modelling and dynamic simulation existing and projected supply and manufacturing networks are stressed by a real or forecasted demand. The analyze of the computed key performance indicators reveals the system constraints. Optimized designs are proposed and tested as well until the indicators values lie in the desired range.
Performance is characterized by the following indicators:
- equipment utilization rates;
- inventory levels;
- lead times distribution;
To increase performance the following elements of the supply and manufacturing network are optimized :
- material and information flows;
- resources (installed capacity, shift plans);
